This beautiful and wonderful artistic Berber Wool rug is hand-woven by our Berber artisans in the Atlas mountains, using techniques that are being passed from generation to generation.This Berber rug is from the Ben Ourain tribe. We use undyed natural wool to decorate rugs with traditional geometrical designs. This was my first high quality rug purchase and couldn’t have asked for a better experience- Amir was very helpful and responsive, and even offered to make my rug in the color I requested for no additional charge. It was packed very well and shipping was efficient from Morocco to NYC. I would recommend that if you need this rug for a special occasion, plan well in advance! These are handmade with care and it shows, and therefore is a lengthy process. Nevertheless, I would (and hope to) purchase from AfriKesh again in the future!

I had ordered a vintage rug once before and was delighted with it so when I wanted a custom rug I didn’t hesitate to contact Amir again. I had found a rug on their site that I wanted in a different color than offered and at a custom size. As always communication with Amir was great. They were able to complete my rug incredibly quickly. Amir sent me a photo before sending to make sure it met with expectations and then expertly packed and sent it via DHL arriving in Los Angeles surprisingly quickly. The rug exceeded my expectations, the wool is high quality and the weavers are clearly very experienced. I absolutely love it! Working with Amir is a pleasure and I would not hesitate ordering a custom or vintage rug from him again.
