This Artistic Moroccan white and red carpet is one of our Luxurious Handwoven Rugs from the Mrirt collection. Mrirt rugs are known for their high-quality wool, and this lovely fluffy rug is no exception. These rugs are handcrafted by our artisans from undyed natural wool and traditionally decorated with abstract designs and vibrant colors. Then the rug is washed for several days, in order to have an infinite softness to the touch. They differ from all other rugs by their fine and silky wool and by their intense thickness.

The workmanship is great but I had a lot of little burrs buried in the fibers so you sometimes feel a sharp prick. I spent some time fishing them out and it seems ok now. It’s also more orange than I was anticipating. The color in the pictures is way more muted so I was a little disappointed. I had mentioned to the seller that I wanted a mustard yellow, but I guess I should have made a specific request, so that’s on me. The biggest thing was I waited nearly 3 months to receive it – which isn’t unreasonable since it’s custom made but since I was told it would take 5 weeks max, that’s where my expectations were. Although Amir was very friendly, overall I wish there was a bit more transparency as to why my rug was so severely delayed, just for peace of mind. All in all, I wish I loved it more but hopefully it will grow on me.

Take notice of the size of the squares for this rug in the user posted pictures. The squares are bigger than the hero product image. Still a good rug and a good color. Cheers!
