This artistic Boho rug is a red abstract Boujaad rug hand-woven by our artisans in the high Atlas mountains, using techniques that have been passed from generation to generation. The Moroccan rug SALKA is the unique and complete product of the weaver’s imagination. This Berber rug is from the Boujaad tribe. The women make use of undyed natural wool to decorate rugs with traditional geometrical designs. These magnificent and sophisticated Moroccan rugs beautifully connect the ancient history of nomadic Berber tribes with modern-day interiors through fascination. Every rug is entirely handmade and then washed and dried in the mountain air.

These rugs go perfectly well with all interior styles, including Traditional, Bohemian, Minimalist, Modern, and Scandinavian, addin warmth and sophistication to any space. Boujaad rugs have also been featured on the cover of the world’s leading home decoration magazines.

      This is my second rug purchase from Afrikesh, the first was a custom rug, this was a vintage option. The item appears exactly as described and it’s nice and soft. My only complaint is it seems to shed a bit more than the other, but I expect this to become less of an issue after repeated vacuuming sessions. Highly recommend this seller’s rugs!

      Incredible rug, arrived in perfect condition, very clean, very soft, surpassed expectations even set by the very descriptive photos. This was a Boujaad rug, newly woven from cleaned, vintage fibers. The effect is of a greater richness and depth to the piece through all of it's nuances and tone variation, but a very soft and clean, new rug in feel. Amir was a wonderful person to coordinate with, and was able to give more details on the rugs design and meaning. Couldn't be happier!
